Removed4 bolts holding the horizontal stabilizer to remove the Vertical stabilizer.
Trimmed forward skin of the vertical stabilizer, and slightly increased the notch depth of the two side notches on the aft edge of the turtle deck skin.
Verified vertical alignment of aft vertical edge of tail cone and aft vertical edge of vertical stabilizer.
Looked into accuracy of the hinge placement on the elevator control surfaces. Checked with both the hinge 1.45mm gap tool and by running a hinge pin across from one hinge over to the other hinge to see alignment.
Right side elevator control surface hinge is ever so slightly low, but hinges all went together and control surfaces move freely and with almost perfectly equal ange of deflection on each side. Not considering a teat apart of the rudder control surface to change hinge placement at this time.
Trimming forward skin for fit of the vertical stabilizer.
Verifying gap for hinge placement.
Checking hinge alignment from one side of the elevator to the other.
