Today Dwayne and I traced and cut a *lot* of ribs onto blank sheets of aluminum. While I was busy wielding my Sharpie, tracing the shapes of our various routing forms onto the metal sheets, Dwayne was cutting out the rough blanks with a Black and Decker electric sheer that my dad gave me a while back. Life saver! I can't imagine what shape my hands would be in without that guy. 2024 is some pretty stiff stuff to be cutting two airplanes' worth of wing parts with hand shears.
We mostly worked on nose and center ribs today, and cut out a couple hundred of the beasties.
Here I am, tracing furiously.
Dwayne cutting out the pieces, staying pretty close to the lines. Dig the cool corkscrew coming off!
