Brief Description:  Radiator Mount

Plans:
1. Add aluminum welds to the uprights.
Status: Complete. I decided to try out special aluminum "welding" rod to "weld" the uprights. This is instead of the bolted clamps I had already used. The aluminum welds that result are advertised as being quite strong although not truly welds. I tried my hand with them and achieved mixed but acceptable results. It looks a little nicer than the clamps. The appearance would likely improve with practice.
2. Calibrate the coolant temperature sensor.
Status: Complete. Before filling the cooling system I needed to calibrate the temperature probe to the gauge. After some trial and error using a 10 turn potentiometer and dipping the probe in boiling water, it appears a 330 ohm resistor in series is needed. Near boiling water is used as that temperature is close to 212 degrees and close to operating temperature.
3. Realign the the radiator placement.
Status. Complete. I needed to adjust the radiator slightly to make more room for the hose clamps. The mounting holes were slotted to alow for some side adjustment. I also took the opportunity to secure the hoses in place.
