Brief Description: Engine Electrical & Fuel Return Line
Plans: 1. Make the firewall penetration for the electrical harness. Status: Complete. The harness provided with the engine needs to be routed through the firewall into the avionics compartment. A hole was cut for that purpose and the harness inserted. There are still a few electrical connections to make to the harness. 2. Make a firewall penetration for the fuel return line. Status: 50% complete. During operation, unused fuel from the injectors is fed back into the fuel tank. A small diameter fuel line is used for that purpose. A thru-hole was drilled in the firewall and the fuel line fit checked. I will need to add a fire shield to the line before finishing the installation. 3. Install Tachometer. Status: 50% complete. A custom tachometer was received a few days ago. I installed it into the instrument panel today. It is not wired yet. 4. Add additional bolts to the engine mount. Status: Complete. Four AN3 bolts were added to the engine mount at the firewal corners--additional bolts were recommended for heavier engines by AA.
