Plans: 1. Unpack the engine. Status: Sherry picked up the engine at the freight facility on the 5th of November. We brought it to the hanger today and unpacked it. First impressions are mixed. The shipping container did the job however I think it was less sturdy than I would have expected. The sides broke away easily while opening. One side had already begun peeling away on its own. Fortunately it does not appear that any of the contents were lost. I have not inventoried it yet but at first glance I seem to have been shorted the engine bushings. I don’t see them on the shipping list.
A quick fitment check of the engine's width seems to indicate it might exceed the engine compartment's horizontal dimensions on the left side. The exhaust header is not attached so the right side could not be checked. I had several conversations with Mark Kettering at Aeromomentum prior to and after purchasing and he assured me he checked dimensions and it would fit. Now I am a little concerned he was wrong. The area of interference is at the outer edge of the intake manifold and TPS. Unfortunately it may be awhile before I can verify anything. I have been told I need 4 weeks to recover from a health problem. My left arm is unusable at the moment.
