Plans: 1. Construct the cockpit coaming leather wrap. Status: About 30% complete. This is very slow going. Wrapping the leather over the changing contours of the cockpit produces unsightly twists in the leather. To avoid this small bastard pieces are being constructed for each corner. The necessary change of direction can be smoothed out by shaping the bastard pieces. In theory- yes but as it turns out the cuts are complex and impossible to get right on the first try. Several fine adjustments are required each with re-sewing and re-fitting in-between.
