Plans: 1. Add the insignia to the lower wings. Status: 80% complete. I decided I would add the insignia to the lower wings today. Since they were both conveniently bottom side up it seemed reasonable. Unfortunately as it turned out I ran out of the Aluma-Hyde Matt Black paint. A second coat will be required. Unfortunately Brownell’s is out-of-stock at the moment - no ECD. The process is to make a mask for spray painting. The cross is first laid out on the bench and cut from paper. The bars for the lower wing are 6" wide at the middle. The radius of the arc is made such that it intersects the outer edge about 3" further out. So the breadth is doubled with 12" at the tips. The result is about 33 to 34 inches length and width overall. About right for the lower wings. These same ratios were used on the tail and will be scaled up for the upper wing.
