Plans: 1. Add a felt layer to the hand hold area. Status: Complete. Prior to covering the center section I decided to add a felt layer to the hand grip area. It was glued in place with 3M spray adhesive and painted with two coats of cement. The felt will smooth out the numerous rivets used in its construction and any sharp edges. 2. Start painting the lower wings. Status: Started. Two coats of tinted primer were applied to the top surface of the lower wings. A roller was used with the thinned latex using vertical strokes for the first coat. Horizontal strokes were used for the second coat.
