Brief Description:  Upper Left Wing Fabric

Plans:
1. Shrink fabric to 300 degrees.
Status: Complete. The top and bottom fabric was shrunk to 300 degrees. I got the same results as on the right wing. A slight bend in the root rib was produced. Again I have decided to accept this issue as-built. If there is a next time I will need to create internal bracing to hold the rib in place. This rear length of tubing was apparently poorly supported.
2. Add reinforcing tapes and rivets to the top left wing.
Status: Complete. The only issue I expect are future tears in the fabric on the outside ribs. The rivets have broad heads and protrude slightly over the edge of the rib. As the fabric is tightened over the corner is creates a stress riser. The surface tapes will contain any punch through to the rivet head so other than appearance it shouldn't be a problem.
