Plans: 1. Fabricate upper wing airfoils. Status: Fabrication of the top most upper wing airfoil ribs is complete. Twenty two upper airfoil ribs were formed, cut to length and coped. Coping was accomplished using the 2" spindle sander and belt sander. I found that this method allowed for good control of coping. The earlier method of using a conventional hole saw with a drill press was dropped because it tended to make poor quality cuts at shallow angles. Sanding is slower but rework and waste is minimal. Next up will be the bottom ribs for the upper wing.
