Plans: 1. Build airfoil sanding/coping jig. Status: Complete. I decided the best way for me to cope the airfoils using the 2 inch diameter spindle sander. The jig consisted of adding a larger surface to the sander and marking a repeatable holding guide for the airfoil. 2. Cope center wing airfoils. Status: Four airfoils coped. Using the new sanding jig I coped four of the airfoils. Initial shaping was done on the band saw to remove the bulk of the aluminum. The coped leading edge was then progressively checked against the layout jig. 3. Reassemble first set of cabanes and paint the second set. Status: With the paint dry I proceeded to reinstall the first two of six cabanes. I also tailored the gussets a bit more. They were slightly contoured to appear less crude. The second set of cabanes were then removed and partially painted.
