Brief Description:  Fuel Valve Stops & Wiring

Plans;
1. Add stops to the fuel valve.
Status: Complete. Hard on/off stops were added to the valve to ensure positive on/off alignment of the valve's ball. A handle was also added to provide an actuation capability near the tank. Having two on/off controls for fuel is considered a safety issue however in this case as the control in the cockpit acts as an indicator I beleive it is acceptable.
2. Hard mount the rigid extension pipe.
Status: 50% complete. I added an Adel clamp behind the instrument panel to hard mount the rigid pipe to the airframe. The other end will be mounted to the fuel tank as soon as I receive a special two inch clamp. Without the mount the pipe was suspetible to being knocked out of alignment.
3. Wire the fuel pumps.
Status: 25% Complete. The ground legs of the wiring were completed. For some reason I started to wire using 18AWG wire. I changed over to 12AWG. I think the 18AWG would have worked however I decided the 12 AWG would run cooler and provide mechanical strength to the circuit.
