Plans: 1. Add plate nuts for horizontal & vertical stabilizers. The connection used to attach the stabilizers to the fuselage require nuts and a buildup of washers if done as designed. Mark Hymer's Fokker was modified to use plate nuts. I liked his idea. The change makes bolting on the stabilizers a snap as you don't need to blindly hold the nuts. Status: Complete. I fabricated five plate nut assemblies that allow their addition to the fuselage. 2. Finish the battery mount installation. Status: Complete. The battery box was already secured on two sides to the airframe. The bottom of the box was secured to the aircraft floor today. That secures it on three sides. Because of the weight of the battery I wanted it securely locked in place.
