Plans: 1. Fab and install windscreen. Status: About 50% done. The windscreen is being made from transparent polycarbonate. To get the shape close I created a template using some excess .020 AL. The template was held in place while the contour of the aircraft was marked along the surface. I needed to repeat this several times to get progressively closer to the exact shape. The template was then used to mark the poly. The poly was then cut. Finally it was heated until soft with a heat gun and folded into shape. 14 mounts were cut and drilled from T-bar. The mounts are being used as opposed to a long strip as a strip cannot be molded into the complex curve otherwise required. Next up I need to secure mounts to the poly and aircraft top. I will likely add a thin metal trim to to forward surface to improve the looks and strength.
