Plans: 1. Continue panel work. Status: 90% complete: Both side panels have been cut to fit and mounted. Cutouts for the carry through and aileron cables were made. Other than painting just some minor detail work remains. The top of each panel needs to be notched where the Cabanes and fuel spout pass. 2. Continue firewall work. Status: 80% complete: I decided to change the current firewall from an aluminum sheet to a 28 ga. galvanized steel sheet. This was an improvement from Sam Buchanan for some additional flame protection. It was a simple matter to use the earlier firewall as a template to fab a new one.
The airplane is starting to look like an airplane. Lots of details left for the fuselage but I'm closer to the end now than the beginning.
