Plans: 1. Finish the plate nut strips. Status: Completed. 2. Continue fabrication of the turtle deck. Status: I fabricated a box to form the rear turtle deck. I also reinforced the leading edge. By doing so it is significantly stronger and easily supports a pilot’s weight. Sam Buchannan had a bad experience with the AA design in that it collapsed under his weight while entering the cockpit. He switched to a simple plywood former. My version looks closer to the original and is strong enough to sit on.
