Brief Description:  Joining Fuselage Sides

Plans:
1. Continue joining the fuselage sides together.

Status: I made some good progress gussetting the firewall station up to the carry-thru station. I used the jig made earlier to hold the carry-thru alignment for the aircraft bottom (on top in the photos). I also used a level clamped onto a precision right angle block to set the carry-thru angle to the fuselage longeron at the aircraft top (bottom in the photo). This is critical as the sweep angle of the wing is determined by my accuracy in doing this alignment. I want a perfect 90 degrees. I won't know until the wings are attached if I did it well. A small angular error here will appear as a large error 10+ feet away. Fingers crossed! Essentially the level is a substitute for the carry-thru that I will receive with a future kit. A small error (0.062") is allowable but I would not be happy if I can see the error easily.
