Plans: 1. Test the oil cooler for leaks and overall cooling performance of the aircraft. Status: Complete. I ran the engine for about 10 minutes at idle. Oil pressure and temperature were good at around 190 degrees and 50-60 psi. Coolant temperature stabalized at around 201 degrees. Outside air temp was about 95 degrees. No noticible leaks. There was a new vibration or rattle like noise. I suspect this is the cooler lines being unsecurred at this point. Easy fix. This is the best I have seen. If the test repeats it appears my cooling concern has been addressed successfully by this change. Fingers crossed. At any rate it is good enough I think to fly with. In flight I think the air flow through the radiator and cooler will be significantly increased.
