Plans: 1: Extend the existing dipstick handle with a longer one. Status: Complete. I cut the finger loop off the handle. That left a straight steel shaft 3mm in diameter about three inches long. I then took a 5mm brass tube and bent a finger loop on the end. I cut the tube to length and epoxied the 3mm shaft inside the 5mm tube. Done. I can now check the oil without opening the compartment.
