Plans: 1. Add louvers to the top of the engine compartment covers. Status: 50% complete. Test runs of the engine with the cover in place were noticeably hotter than those with the cover off. I suspect it is because heat is being generated by the exhaust header and trapped under the cover. To help with this I decided to add louvers to the cover. This is a bit tricky as it involves compound curves and metal working. I felt the simplest solutio n would be to create a seperate louver assembly for each side and drop it into place. The louver blades were completed today.
