Plans. 1. Test fit the wing components. Status: Complete. The top wing parts slip together with butt joints. The joints create a seam I decided to cover with the Velcro tape. The Al tubes that make the joints however have been covered a bit with excess paint and fabric during the build. To get a tight fit the excess paint a fabric needs to be cleaned off. A note to builders. The root ribs are too uneven for a perfect fit and do not close properly (hence the Velcro). I found that the joint also doesn’t close properly because of interference with the fabric build-up. An improvement would be to attach all root ribs about a 1/16" back from the edge of the spars. The gap would close without interference when mated. 2. Paint struts black. Status: Complete. The silver-gray struts have been repainted black. The previous color was done with the notion of a different paint scheme. Since I later decided on the streaky Fokker finish black seemed more appropriate.
