Plans: 1. Add felt overlayment to the leading edge. Status. Right upper wing complete. After applying anti-chafe tape to the wing a felt overlayment was bonded to the top surface with 3M 90 spray glue. The felt ensures a smooth finish. A coat of the 3M Fastbond was painted into the felt per the Stewart Systems videos. It takes about 1 quart of glue just to cover the felt with one coat. I am using the cheaper glue for this task. It presents no structural issues so economy here is okay. Unfortunately I have run out of the cheaper glue and will need to wait for more to be delivered. 2. Start installation of the oil cooler. Status. I received the oil cooler yesterday and I am studying how best to install it. Two options appear possible. Option 1 is to move the radiator overflow bottle to the opposite side and locate the cooler there. Option 2 is to place the cooler underneath the engine mount toward the rear. The pick-up is at the oil filter. It looks like it will be a very tight fit.
