Plans: 1. Cover the right upper wing. Status: Started. The process of covering the wing has started. The technique is the same as for the empennage. In this case the L.E. overlap will need to be three inches for a certified joint. In order to flatten the L.E. I taped it down with reinforced strapping tape. If I were to do this over again I would modify the technique as described in the manual. I would pre-curve the L.E. sheeting before securing it to the spar. The next step (optional) is to add a felt layer to smooth out any imperfections in the wing.
