Plans: 1. Test the fuel tank sensor. Status: Complete. The fuel tank sensor was tested by substituting a tall glass of fuel for the tank. The sensor probe was moved in and out of the fuel while the output was tracked on a voltmeter. In this case, since the panel gauge failed test, the volt meter is being used. Output varied from 0-5 VDC as expected. There is also a low fuel signal wire for a lamp that was not supplied in this version. The wire did show some changes when the "tank" was empty but it is unclear what a correct indication would be. I need to find a separate 12VDC lamp to see if it works. 2. Drill the fuel tank port for a fuel rail’s fuel return line. Status: Complete. I had previously drilled out a port to the top of the tank. Aeromomentum advised me that a better approach was lower down where it mixes directly into the fuel. Their concerned aeration of fuel as it rained down might introduce air into the remaining fuel. There was a lower port for an unused fuel level sight gauge that I repurposed to be the inlet.
