Plans: 1. Fabricate the trim plates for the lower cabane ends. Status: 50% complete. I cut out the rear trim plates. They still require some final shaping. The rear plates have an odd shaped hole to accommodate the entry of the two cabanes joining with a "V" shape. The forward trim plates will be slightly simpler. 2. Cut a passage for the cabane rigging cables. Status: Complete. I cut a slot to simplify installation of the top bonnet without disconnecting the rigging cables. Now however I have a big hole to fill. Another trim plate should do the trick. 3. Go flying. OK so I had a chance fly a friends Stearman. Could not turn that down. Great day but not much progress.
