Plans: 1. Fabricate the center section cabane trim plates. Status: Complete. Finished fab of the four trim plates today. A narrow passage hole for each cabane was traced onto the plates by first creating a template from masking tape. The surrounds were marked with registration marks for the trim plates. The masking tape adhered to the surround in place of a trim plate and closely to the cabane. I then transferred the registration marks to the tape. Finally the tape was reapplied as a template to the actual trim plate to transfer the cabane cut out area.
The holes for the cable were cut large to allow for movement in the slipstream. I will close these holes more at some point when I assess the best opening size.
