Plans: 1: Clean hanger. Status: I arrived at the hanger to find it in danger of flooding. We had heavy rains overnight and the nearby flood control basin was overflowing. So I spent the day trying to clear out all my tools and components before the waters entered. I was also able to hoist the aircraft onto chairs to add more ground clearance. Will it be enough? I simply don't know yet. The waters rose to about a foot deep at the time I left. They were still rising. Historically the waters have been as much as 23 feet high. I could lose the aircraft. I am simply in shock at the moment at the prospect of what the coming days will bring. More rain is on the way.
