Brief Description:  Rigging

Plans:
1. Rig wings.
Status: 30% complete. I was able to get the additional 1/8" cable I needed from Aircraft Spruce today. So on to rigging. Rigging takes place in three steps. First the cabane braces, followed by the landing cables then the lift cables. Experience rigging earlier assemblies made this fairly uneventful. Both cabane braces were pulled tight with the ratchet straps and crimped with the Nicopress tool. I used the plumb bob to gauge the structure's alignment as I went. Only one of the four landing wires was completed today. Again using the ratchet strap I pulled it just tight enough to lift the spar off the scaffolding. Note, all of the turnbuckles have been pre-set such that the last 2-turns will tension the cables and lock the turnbuckle. This was recommended in the build video to simplify breakdown and reassembly.
