Brief Description:  Seat

Plans:
1. Install the pilot seat.
Status: About 50% complete. The AA plans for the pilot's seat are fairly simple. Just a fixed aluminum sheet bottom and back. I wanted something a bit more flexible and attractive. So I purchased an aluminum hot rod bucket seat and adjustable slides. Unfortunately this will be 7 lbs. heavier. But it will allow different size pilots to fly the plane.

I was able to attach the slides to the seat today. Some modification of the release bar was necessary. It interfered with the joystick when pulled back. I also made two of four mounting brackets. The next session will focus on the other two brackets and the rudder pedals. I need to get the tubing to finish the install but unfortunately Aircraft Spruce is closed. The lack of parts will also give me an opportunity to clean up the hanger a bit.
