Plans: 1. Install horizontal stabilizer struts. Status: Complete. I finally got around to installing the struts for the horizontal stabilizer. The plans call for simply crushing (annealing first) the ends of the struts and bolting them to the structure. My approach was a little more involved. I elected to create a plate to tie them into the fuselage. Rather than crushing the tube ends and bending them I wanted to just crush them without bending. The bent end of the tube is more likely to crack over time. I created a tab that would take the bend better than the tube and bolted it to the tub's end.
