Brief Description:  Landing Gear Legs

Plans:
1. Cut and cope landing gear legs.
Status: In work. Well I needed to contact Robert Baslee to figure out what to do about the landing gear dimensions being off. He pointed out that he had not heard of this problem before. That may be but I think that the dimension of the rear leg is not correct in the drawing. At any rate he advised me that the dimensions down and back for the front legs are the critical ones to maintain. Hence the rear leg is OK to cut to fit. That turns out to be about 30 inches instead of 32. The angular alignment of the gusset is close to that of the legs (not perfect). I placed the gusset on top of the legs to show the alignment is reasonably close. Coping the top end went without incident once the alignment was established. I decided to hold off cutting the bottom end until after they were riveted to the gussets. I need to etch and paint them as well.
2. Build trough for etching landing gear legs.
Status: Complete. This was a reasonably simple matter of cutting some ABS pipe to length and splitting it down the sides. The result is two troughs.
