Plans: Note: This entry covers two days at 5 hours each (26 & 27). I accidently forgot my PC and couldn't enter anything yesterday.
1. Create fuselage jig. Status: Complete. I decided to create a jig to ensure that both sides of the fuselage would line up at right angles. One spot in particular is very important. The lower wing carry-thru bridges the wing on either side at right angles to the fuselage. If the sides don't line up the wings will join at an angle. As usual the first idea didn't quite work so adjustments were needed. Anyway the jig is done. A long aluminum angle substitutes for the carry-thru. It is mounted to a flat PB surface with other angles to hold the alignments while also holding both sides in place.
2. Cut horizontal 9 ribs for the nose. Status: About a third done. The first set of nine ribs are to be identical lengths. They all bridge the forward section of the fuselage. I only cut one end at this time. I am not sure of the exact length yet.
3. Join Fuselage sides. Status: Incomplete. Basically held for the ribs. I spent so much time on the jig I couldn't get to this.
