Using UHMW and a milling machine, I fabricated my interal rudder stop to be installed between the rudder hinge brackets VS-410PP. Fist after I lined up the rudder rod end bearings to get a straight hinge line. Adjustments had to be made from the measurements provided on the plans. Next I drew out the plan view of this system careful to measure and reproduce hinge line and structures. Knowing rudder travel (30 deg min and 35 deg max) I drew out the stop to desminsions. Transferred this to a block of plywood that had been sanded to proper thickness. Once properly fit, transferred measurements to the UHMW block and cut on milling machine. Measured travel of 33 deg both directions.
