Brief Description: Alternate Air Door push pull control cable
Vans had a hole for the battery cable on the left side of the firewall that I was not going to use and I needed a pass-through for the alternate air door control. The Hole that Vans put in the firewall is in a difficult place and is an odd size to use any of the firewall eyeballs that I used elsewhere on the firewall. Thankfully Doubletree makes a small eyeball that will work if I make up some stainless steel washers to fill in the size difference. I made 2 washers out of 304 stainless .040 and notched then to fit around the firewall stringers I have ordered some CS-1900 firewall sealant to use under the outer washer that should arrive tomorrow.
