I rented a paint booth and took off work this week so that I could get the plane painted. The paint booth was one that I found online and lets just say that I was more than a little disappointed in the place. The actual paint booth was nice but everything else that they advertised was false. I was supposed to have a paint booth with a gun and respirator, sanding/drying room with lots of space to place parts and 24/7 access. The drying room was a dust filled storage area for old car parts (nearly zero room for plane parts), there was no paint gun and the place was only open from about 10am - 7pm. Nonetheless I was able to spray on my final coat of primer as well as the top coat.
