Brief Description:  Organization and Storage

I returned home on 20 Jan and was able to start the organization process on 21 Jan. After contemplating an inventory strategy for some time, I decided to go with the blunt force method. Select an item, mark it present, mark where I put it, and move on. I ended up with 8 items that I had to search for, but sorted everything out by 23 Jan.

I've seen folks reference an A-frame parts board or boards hanging from the wall with parts stapled to it. I already have several parts bins, so I used this method. I have a box with the more fragile components, a box for larger items, and three bins with hardware and all the components that would fit there. I sorted by part number and labeled. I hung the cowling from the ceiling with a couple larger sheetmetal parts secured inside of it. The windscreen and lexan pieces are stacked against an out-of-the-way wall in the garage. The longer pieces are high on the back wall.

I read on the internet that RANS was going to a bin system that a third party would provide, speeding organization. The FWF kit came with this bin, but the fuselage did not.
