Brief Description:  Prep for Show 'n Tell

This week is strictly prep for show 'n tell at the Open House Wednesday, Feb 8th. That is not to say that some real work won't get done, but some of the things done will have to be undone later. Tuesday we had 9 workers. An example of things to be undone was getting the wings and other painted parts from the airport. Most will be returned for storage next week. Putting in the interior (baggage area) is another waste of time.

Not really! Many people have donated toward this project, and the school needs to see what we are working toward. Our student builders need to see the expressions, hear the comments, and experience the thrill of knowing they have done a great job.

On Tuesday we also finished installing the rear window and accomplished other useful things. We have our work all scheduled to have the plane on the gear, with cowl, wings, and tail on, even if not all complete.

Thursday we had 10 workers, and we got quite a bit done, but not everyhing we needed before Wednesday's Open House. We are working Monday as well as Tuesday, just to be sure. We did get the VS and rudder on, and the canopy dlecoed in place. Also more controls were hooked up. We were close on getting the gear installed, but didn't quite make it. We don't have to store the plane until after Open House, so we should get done easily on Monday, and have Tuesday just to move into the gym. We also had a representative from Indiana Youth Institute observing.
