Brief Description:  A great day!

5 builders present, and a fine day's work.

Probably 1/3rd of the time was on the fuse, but some of that was just for "show and tell" next week.

We unpacked the wings and found all the paperwork except the inventory list! A strange thing to turn up missing--will have to look into that. At any rate, we proceeded to build the skeleton of the left wing with little problem. It went together well and all made sense to everyone.

Later, 15 members of EAA 1328 (my chapter) came over to see the progress, with some flying after the visit. A fun evening!

Now, on to more important stuff: I am learning so much about these builders, the scope of the project, and myself. All three surprise me. I am seeing the builders (I'm not going to call them kids anymore) maturing in judgement and confidence. I see one who seemed shy now pointing out details and explaining instructions to visitors. I see new friendships and real helpfulness. And I think I have figured it out. No one really thought they could do this--not at first. They needed something bigger than themselves. They have it, and they are conquering it!
