Brief Description:  The end is near!

We are rapidly running out of parts! These past two weeks have seen the cowl mounted, the canopy finished (except for fiberglass,) and almost all wiring completed. The fluids are on order. The EFIS is working, and the fuel tank is in place, although not hooked up. We still have a little wiring, a lot of wiring neatening, and some minor FWF stuff. We have a radio reception problem, but I think I know what it is. Still a lot of little things, but nothing too big. We have actually begun the PAP inspection. Van's has released digital (pdf) files of the plans, only for Eagle's Nest Projects--a big help!

This Saturday we had a welcome visitor in Scott Malcomb, A&P instructor for Jet Blue. He went over the FWF and made a lot of corrections that left a much neater looking plumbing and wiring package. It saved us at least a day's work.

We welcome new family members from Alamogordo, NM and the state of Washington. That brings our family of builders up to five locations.

We will have about 30 people at Oshkosh AirVenture 2012, including our Chaplain. Monday morning we will be in the Homebuilt Center, then on Phillips 66 Plaza. Tuesday morning will see us on stage at Theater in the Woods, and we are promised a radio interview. Things are looking good for Eagle's Nest! We thank God for the opportunities we have, and give Him the praise.
