Brief Description:  Systems, systems, systems

We had a good week, working three sessions; Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I will admit, Saturday (today) was more fun than work, however. We need that from time to time.

We have all the controls hooked up. The stabilator was last as we didn't want to put it on until we had to. It does make things tighter in the shop. We are deeply into wiring now, and it is confusing. We have many parts that need replaced as ours was designed for the first generation avionics, and we are getting the newer Skyview system, the only thing available now. There are more holes in the firewall, brackets to be replaced, and wiring to be sourced from Van's. It will take some time to completely sort out. We did make lots of progress, however, especially on Thursday.

By having fun, i mean we had quite a day! We were joined by the Patriot Academy, builders of EN-II. Also, everyone got to inspect the first flying RV-12 from Indiana. Dr Emmrick from Indianapolis flew down and looked over our project, and everyone got to look at his beautifully finished 12.

The highlight was the "reunion" of the brothers Wooton! The older brother dropped out of Jennings County High School some time ago, and joined the Army. He now is at the Patriot Academy and was chosen to be one of the builders. His younger brother has been working on EN-I since the beginning of the school year. It was special to see their reactions.

P.S. EN-II is beginning at the Patriot Academy. I will pass on the website here. I am working there Wednesday evenings.
