Brief Description:  Left Wing

Over Sunday and today I fitted the - previously cut - top skin to the framing I completed Friday and Saturday - checked spec's and turned it over. Set up "levels and Squares" and fitted the bottom skin. Again flipped it over, set up "levels and squares" again then removed the top skin and fitted the Nose Ribs. I changed all of the "L's" that the nose skins attach to from pulled rivets to solid rivets thru the Main Spar. I then removed the Nose Ribs and stored them. ( I do not have material for Leading Edge Skin on-hand) I then installed the framing for the wing locker in this wing and when it was complete I painted the locker area white. I cut and fitted the mid-rib "E's" that are now part of the 650 plans - marked them for location - but I did not drill them at this time. I next cut out the inspection hole in the bottom skin for Aileron Bellcrank access. I have the cover plate cut and shaped and marked but I have not yet installed the Nut-plates in that part... I ran out of time for today...installing the cover plate will be the next job when I get back to it. When done this - this wing will go into a rack to store with it's "right mate" until I get Leading Edge Skin Material and fit and install it. I intend to split the skin as Debo Cox has done to make access to the fuel tanks eaiser in the future if needed. I also need to order the F/G end caps from Zenith together with 7' piano hinges to complete the Ailerons and Flaps for attachment. I will be using Solid Rivets to attach both the flaps and the Aileron Hinges to the wings. I plan to use SS A-5's to attach the hinge to the Flaps. Solid to attach them to the Ailerons.
