Pulled the Main and Rear Spar from "climate controlled - extended - dry storage" (i.e. hanging from the rafters of the basement/garage) and began assembly. Established correct level and positoned ribs and drilled pilot holes. Checked all measurements and enlarged the holes to final size. Dis-assembled and de-burred and primed the surfaces that will mate on the spars. My A/P-I/A Advisor has convinced me that solid rivets in the wing spars are a better/stronger choice than the A-5's called out on the plans ...so I replaced all of the rivets thru the Spars with Solid Rivets. Takes a bunch longer to insert and set but I believe the gain will be worth the time. The Skeleton of the Left Wing is now complete. I need only to set an install the Wing Locker to match the Right Wing (I have still not made my mind up to use them but I am installing the structure in each wing to be there in the event I choose to use them in the furture - requiring only to cut out and fit up the top. I will do that part next. Then it's fitting up the skins and drilling them and the front ribs. This work was done over yesterday and today.
I also intend to install the "L's" as called for in the 650 plans on the top of the wing across the ribs at mid-point.
