Brief Description:  Fuselage - Front side skin - Pilot side

Continued to add parts to the forward side skin on the pilot side per construction manual. Outside and inside views of my progress are below.

As with all things - more so when plans building I suspect - everything takes lots of time and far more than one might expect when looking at the steps in advance.

While the pics show that the progress is as expected I'm not happy with the forward lower results. The reason is my own doing - or rather I should say "un-doing". Earlier in the steps they called for the bottom forward skin to be bent up at approx 90 degrees at the forward main wing spar after it is verfied at the correct angle and the vertical side braces are ready to be installed. In my case I've concluded that I bent too much of it up - or - better said I bent it too far foward of the spar. The result is that I'm not getting a smooth, gentle curve on the skin as the floor and side skin mate together and attach to each other. I pushed, braced, taped, etc to great lenghts but when I drilled and clecoed and moved forward on the bottom row of holes the curve turned into a buckel (thats not it at the spar openings - what appears there in the pic is a light reflection - my buckle is between the top and bottom clecos where the floor and side skins join in both places about 10 inches forward of the spar cut-out) and I can't seem to work it out.

Looks like the solution is gonna be to remake the bottom forward floor skin and replace the forward side skin as well.
