Wednesday was my wife's Birthday so our Grandson and I flew her to Greenbriar Lodge in W. Va. for lunch. It was a great flight and they were able to see some fantastic landscape along the way for the hour twenty minutes it took to fly there. All of us enjoyed the flight, the lunch, the return flight and most importantly the interaction. Thursday was his last full day with us so we all just hung out together and Friday we put him on the Plane. 10 days of airplanes - mostly - building one, flying one and plenty of time together. It was GREAT.
Today I got back to work on the 601. I cut out and finished the wood blanks that we laid out and formed the Galvanized Firewall around them. I also began to assemble some of the many pieces that go on that firewall to strenghten it, and attach other things too.
