Brief Description:  Wing Main Spar right

The pictures below are the third part of todays efforts. They show the Right Spar after it was drilled (previous page) dis-assembled, deburred, prep'ed and primed then re-assembled for solid rivits. The second shows the beginning of that process (about 1/4 of the total) that I installed before I decided to call it a day.

In the beginning I never intended to build my own Spars. They are so critical to the structure of the Air Frame that I didn't feel I would trust them if they were home constructed. After reading and spending a lot of time in study of the other builders Web Sites I changed my mind and began to feel very confident that I, too, could build the critical part properly. I've spent a lot of time measuring, cutting, fitting and re-checking everything a number of times and I'm very happy and confident in the quality of these parts at this point. If I ever doubt them (not expected) I'll cut them up and buy a pair of them from Zenith completly assembled...

The solid rivets are super strong and when installed make a very ridgid and strong part.
