Brief Description: Began to build "Dave's" angle Brake
Began to build "Dave's" Angle Brake. Like Larry, in Calif, I build it 10" too. I'm thinking about building it on it's own stand rather than having to deal with it on the table every day. I have some 2" Square Steel to get the job done. Got all 3 - 10" pieces cut, sanded, shaped and the Piano Hinge riveted on (60mm spacing on rivets) Lot of holes to drill and rivets to pull. Only the beginning. 1/4" Steel is a lot more to drill then thin wall Aluminum. Enjoyed the process, none the less. Thought about welding on the hinge but i may want to use the angle sometime after the build and the rivets will be much eaiser to remove then welding spots/seams. If weather holds. I'll finish it tomorrow (stand too) and move it to the hanger for painting.
