I used a 2x6x8 fir to build my cap strip bender to dry the strips after they came out of the steamer. I exagerated the rib shape to compensate for spring back after the cap-strips dried. I cut and planed the wood to the size I needed and glued and clamped and screwed it together. When dry I cut the shape I wanted on the band saw. I added a dowl with all-thread to act as a clamp.
