Brief Description:  Miscellaneous assembly tasks.

Got to the airport pretty early. Cut a piece of aluminum angle the width of the new digital level and taped it to the level. Ran a band of tape around the lower part of the level so the level contacts the back side of the prop at top and bottom. Seems to work quite well and be repeatable. Set the blades to mid range and equalized the two blades. Torqued to specs.

Replaced the right wheel valve stem core. It was leaking and the tire kept going flat.

Removed clips and readjusted stabilator cables so the stab hits it stops before the stick does in both directions. Will check tension and reinstall clips when new ones come.

Tied up trim servo wires with cable ties inside the tail cone.

Removed top sparkplugs and spun the engine with the starter to test starter and circulate oil. Oil pressure came up to 63.

Performed the trim calibration procedures from the Dynon manual. Set the T/O mark to 1/3 of the range.

Installed tail cone, both halves. Fit is good except two screws on each side protrude enough to bind on the stabilator as it goes up and down, and the fiberglass itself catches in one spot (see picture.) I'm considering options to correct.

Installed vertical stabilizer leading edge fairing.

Safetied the air cleaners.

Installed canopy. Have a problem with most forward part of fiberglass binding on the metal skin when the canopy is raised. Tried extra washers but this is not enough. Will have to shave some fiberglass off.
