I had brought the prop spinner backing plate back from the paint shop yesterday, so today I could install it and the prop. Torqued the inside bolts, but left the outer ones finger tight so I can set the blade angles before tightening.
Borrowed a compression tester from Bill and used it to pressurize the oil tank. Purged the oil system per ROTAX procedures. Went well, except nothing came out the return line that they have you extend and place in a container. Wonder why they specify this.
Re-installed the spark plugs and pulled the prop through. The engine "burped!" I've been waiting two years to hear that sound!
