Dave and I raised the fuselage to a higher horse and installed the gear legs. The "slide in" method in the plans does not work, due to not enough clearance from the skin. The other problem we experienced was interference from the back side of rivets. See picture. Solved this by drilling out the offending rivets and re-installing them after the gear mounts were installed.
Installed the axles. Not sure we got the cotter pin holes in the correct orientation (vertical). Will check in the morning. Ran the string to check toe-in/toe-out as instructed. Noted about a 3 degree toe-in. Wondering if this will change with full weight on the wheels. Will put out a VAF query.
